This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.
Need an Official Record?
Send each Ottawa County records request to the office that holds that type of file:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and personal record review: contact Michigan State Police Criminal Justice Information Center
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact Ottawa County Sheriff's Records Management
- State repository searches: use Michigan State Police ICHAT or the official fingerprint review process
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Set-aside filings: use the court that heard the case and follow the Michigan process
For Sheriff-created crash, criminal, and service reports, contact Ottawa County Sheriff's Records Management at 12220 Fillmore Street, West Olive, MI 49460, or call (616) 738-4000. Written requests may go through the Ottawa County FOIA Center, by fax, by mail, or in person.
