Why We Built This Site
Michigan provides several public routes to justice records, yet each route answers a different question. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office keeps its own incident, booking, and custody material. The 58th District Court handles misdemeanors and the early stages of felony cases, while the 20th Circuit Court keeps the felony file after bindover. Michigan State Police runs ICHAT through its Criminal Justice Information Center, the Michigan Department of Corrections publishes OTIS, and MSP also manages the Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. We organize verified contacts, official search links, fees, and request steps for these separate custodians.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to an Ottawa County office, a Michigan court, a police department, the sheriff, or any state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file set-aside petitions, records requests, or other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every published address, fee, phone number, or schedule remains current
Only the record custodian, such as the sheriff, a court clerk, or Michigan State Police CJIC, can issue an official copy. We identify the route, but the government office must supply the record.
